Acoustic systems with bi-amping
Bi-Amping/Wiring
— possibility of work of acoustics in the Bi-Amping or Bi-Wiring format. This feature is only found in multi-lane models (see "Number of lanes"). In speakers with Bi-Amping/Bi-Wiring support, each speaker has not one, but two pairs of terminals for connecting to a power amplifier — one pair for low frequencies, the second for high frequencies. This allows you to use special connection formats. So, when using Bi-Wiring, each contact at the output of the power amplifier is connected with two separate wires to two terminals on the corresponding speaker at once: for example, the positive contact of the left channel — to the positive contacts of the LF and HF inputs on the left speaker, the negative — to the corresponding negative contacts etc. This improves the frequency response: due to the separation of the individual cables, the low-frequency signal does not “steal energy” from the rest of the range, and each band receives enough power to efficiently operate the corresponding speakers.
In turn, the Bi-Amping format already uses two separate amplifiers, each with two pairs of output contacts — as a result, each speaker terminal is connected strictly to “its own” contact. This connection method is expensive, but it allows you to achieve even greater sound purity and uniformity of the frequency response; It is Bi-Amping that is considered the perfect option for those who do not recognize compromises in matters of sound quality.
