Passive-active acoustic systems

 

— combined speakers in which the main speakers are passive and the subwoofer is active (respectively, only models with a subwoofer can be included in this category). The meaning of this division is, in particular, that for high-quality sound at low frequencies it is desirable to have a separate amplifier for a subwoofer — and in active "subwoofers" it is already installed, which will save you from having to look for an additional component of the audio system.
