Glass with metal

— a variety of kettles with a glass case, in which the additional elements of the case (top and bottom parts, lid) are almost entirely made of metal, without the use of plastic. The maximum that can be found in such models is a plastic insert on the lid and/or a handle; both parts are provided solely for the convenience of the user and do not come into contact with the contents of the kettle.

Glass enclosures for teapots have been previously discussed in the section on "glass". However, kettles with a combination of glass and metal enclosures are considered to be the most advanced and expensive type. The use of all-metal parts in the enclosure makes it more durable and reliable than those with plastic or metal-to-plastic combinations. The metal elements also add a stylish and sophisticated look to the kettle, which remains scratch-resistant for a long time. Most importantly, water in the kettle does not come into contact with any plastic elements, thus reducing the chances of foreign tastes or odours. This feature is particularly beneficial for brewing models but can also be useful for traditional teapots.
