This not only adds to the durability of the kettle but also eliminates the risk of the contents taking on a "plastic" taste. Additionally, in models in the middle and higher price ranges, special high-quality plastic grades may be used that do not have the aforementioned drawbacks. However, such kettles may come at a higher cost.
