The U853PM cardioid condenser hanging microphone, part of the UniPoint® series from Audio-Technica, is designed for permanent installation, and comes equipped with a wall/ceiling plate power module. It's a phantom-powered mic that features UniGuard® innovations, providing unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference (RFI). It accepts interchangeable mic elements, available in cardioid (UE-C 120° element, supplied), hypercardioid, omnidirectional, as well as UniLine® line-cardioid polar pickup patterns (note: additional elements sold separately). It also includes a 80Hz low-cut UniSteep® filter that reduces pickup of low-frequency (LF) ambient noise.
