Internal (embedded) hard drive of 3.5" form factor from the 2016 line of special Seagate SkyHawk HDD drives. This family includes 9 models with capacities ranging from 1 and 10 TB, which are intended for use in digital video surveillance systems (DVR) and network video recorders (NVR). Special firmware with ImagePerfect technologies ensures uninterrupted round-the-clock recording of video streams from a large number of HD cameras (up to 64 pcs.) SkyHawk Health Management (SHM) proprietary software creates active protection for video surveillance data storage using advanced preventive and preventative tools.

in 5 years, this is already my 3rd one. The first was for 2TB, a year later I bought one for 4TB, and now I will need to get two more with 6TB. I bought it for a DVR on the advice of an IT specialist friend. I deliberately did not take a disk with a spindle rotation speed of 7200 rpm, I took one with a spindle speed of 5400. Such a disk is noticeably quieter, heats up less, and accordingly, logically, it should work longer.
