They belong to the middle price segment, are focused on use in round-the-clock video surveillance systems. This series uses specially optimized software, and the cache memory is larger than the average for the ward, so that the drive can simultaneously record a video stream from several cameras without fear of accidentally skipping a frame. Support for ImagePerfect technology allows you to record around the clock simultaneously from 64 cameras. The anti-corrosion coating of the housing allows using them in adverse conditions: in unheated warehouses and non-residential premises, industrial facilities, industrial premises and basements with high humidity. With built-in SkyHawk Health Management, the SkyHawk HDD range ensures...reliable performance when integrated into an NVR. In addition, all drives are covered by a 3-year Rescue Data Recovery Services support plan. The SkyHawk family includes exactly 10 models ranging from 1 to 10 TB. All Seagate SkyHawk ST drives come in a 3.5-inch form factor, use a standard SATA connection and are compatible with most video surveillance systems. They are characterized by an extended working resource (approximately: up to 300,000 on-off cycles) and low power consumption - younger variations with 1 TB of memory consume peak 5.6 W, the older model with 8 TB storage requires 9 W. The spindle speed is 5200/5900/7200 rpm. Half of the models presented use the classic magnetic CMR record, while the others use the more modern and ambiguous tiled SMR record. |
