This mouse owes its name to the proprietary intelligent power management system, which, according to the manufacturer, can provide up to 3 years of intensive operation without changing batteries (2 AA cells). However, this is not the only feature of the model: it is also worth noting the ergonomic design, rubber coating for easy holding, 6 buttons and a 1000 dpi laser sensor. And the USB radio adapter is small and does not require configuration after connection.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Logitech Marathon Mouse M705 is praised for its ergonomic design, fitting comfortably in the hand, and its long-lasting battery life, with some users reporting over three years of use on a single set of batteries. It features a hyper-fast scroll wheel and customizable buttons, which enhance productivity, particularly for office tasks. However, the mouse has some drawbacks, such as its overly sensitive scroll wheel that may not be ideal for gaming, especially RPGs, and the sensor's placement, which can affect precision on certain surfaces. Despite these issues, many users find it reliable for everyday use, appreciating its durability and the convenience of wireless connectivity. Some users have experienced issues with the left button double-clicking over time, which is a common problem with Logitech mice using OMRON switches. Overall, the M705 is considered a solid choice for general use, though not necessarily for gaming, with its excellent battery efficiency and comfortable handling being standout features.

I bought the after mouse Logitech Wireless Mouse M185. It's heavier, but no less comfortable because of it. It fit nicely in my hand right away, and I didn't even feel the transition from the old one to the new one.
The shape, vaga, you can switch the sensitivity of the cursor and the wheel, working on a not even smooth surface.
So far, everything is super.

Definitely need to buy.

I've been using this beast for about 6 years, and it couldn't care less.
Sits very well in the hand like it was made for it. Incredibly convenient side buttons for forward/back navigation. Very convenient central button that switches scroll wheel speed. The wheel allows scrolling files possibly to the left/right. Seems to never break. Perfect for working or just browsing the web.
Possibly not the best choice for gaming.
i don't recommend it for RPG games.

On the good side - high sensitivity allows you to use it comfortably on any surface
Since the mouse was purchased for gaming, I’ll tell you right away about the shortcomings. For RPG toys, due to the overly sensitive scrolling (in any of the two states), switching weapons through it is unrealistic. Some games don't understand all the buttons, which is also very frustrating.

marathon runner

Logitech's M705 mouse belongs to a family of marathon mice that run on a couple of batteries for years, saving the owner from surprises and the planet from unnecessary garbage. According to company representatives, a pair of standard AA batteries will last this baby for 3 years. However they do not name the exact number of hours per day, hiding behind the term "average daily operation." Judging by the reviews on the network, this is however for some owners the charge indicator has not yet reached 50%. And this is in the mode of almost daily work for a couple of years.

Scroll without limits

The second advantage over other office-work mice is a couple of additional features. Firstly, on the left wall there are a couple of side buttons that you can use to switch pages or hang commands like “undo” and “redo” on them in Google documents. Secondly, the scroll wheel works in two directions, allowing you to quickly move through web pages or video tracks in Premiere Pro. Scoll can be switched from step-by-step scrolling to ultra fast scrolling.

A wireless mouse with a focus on convenience

Otherwise, this is a fairly standard wireless mouse with an emphasis on convenience. The case with batteries weighs 135 grams, so the mouse does not feel too light and unstable. The shape of the case is really comfortable, after a week of use, the desire to return to your mouse did not particularly arise. The only thing is that the sensor here is very whimsical and not very sensitive, so the cursor can twitch on an uneven surface. Against the background of all of the above, the price tag of around $ 50 seems somewhat exaggerated, but judging by the reviews of the owners, it's worth it.
