The third generation of Google Pixels has retained the stylish and premium design inherited from previous models. The display with rounded edges creates a frameless effect, and the silicone straps go well with clothes of any style. Two physical buttons — a flat touch button and a round crown — complement the minimalist look of the device. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and the IP68 protection level guarantees resistance to dust and water.
The new version is now available in two sizes: 41 mm and 45 mm, allowing you to choose the size that best suits your wrist. The watch comes with two straps of different lengths, making it even more convenient to use.
Full set of functions
Pixel Watch 3 is equipped with everything you need for comfort and health monitoring. A bright 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a peak value of 2000 nits, an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 60 Hz and almost invisible bezels provides excellent image quality. The watch is powered by a Qualcomm SW5100 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, which ensures high performance. The microphone and speaker allow you to make calls without having to take out your smartphone. The watch on the Wear OS platform only works with Android devices, which is especially beneficial for Pixel smartphone users: they can remotely control the camera through the watch. The NFC chip supports payments via Google Wallet.
The watch tracks health and activity: it measures heart rate, blood oxygen levels, body temperature, monitors sleep quality, conducts an ECG and supports various sports modes. Interesting features include Daily Readiness, which analyzes biometric indicators of recovery after training, and Cardio Load, which signals the optimal load during training. In addition, the watch can detect falls and record loss of pulse, automatically calling emergency services and transmitting coordinates.
Like previous models, the Pixel Watch 3 demonstrates modest battery life. The 307 mAh battery supports up to 24 hours of operation with Always-on Display or up to 36 hours in power-saving mode. For a gadget costing $400 - $450, daily recharging may be an inconvenience for many users.
