FSP Hydro G Pro HG2-1000 Gen5 — the circuitry designed by FSP turned out to be so successful that the company updated this model twice. Initially, there was a version transitioning from ATX 2.5 to 3.0 and adding a 12VHPWR cable for GeForce RTX 4000. Later, they released a revision ATX 3.1 with a 12V-2x6 connector, which prevents overheating and potential melting of the RTX 5000. The most current modification is now available for sale.
Mode Switching
The power supply unit's case design hasn't changed at all — it still features the same radial grill with a Protechnic Electric fan of the standard 12 cm diameter underneath. The semi-passive mode is active up to 30% load, and if necessary, the Eco button allows switching to continuous airflow. However, keep in mind that at maximum load, the fan becomes a bit noisy.
