True Hi-Fi by Edifier
Edifier has been trying to sit on two chairs in recent years. Out of habit, the brand is called a manufacturer of computer speakers, although they themselves have long gone into the field of home Hi-Fi. Buyers only benefit from this, because with a very decent sound quality and performance, the acoustics of this Chinese brand often cost 2 or even 3 times cheaper than models from top Hi-Fi brands like Polk or Dali. The Edifier S3000 Pro wireless shelf kit is another confirmation of this, it is acoustics without weaknesses, which, according to the laws of the market, must cost much more.

In tests, we were able to compare them with the popular Bronze 2 bookshelf speakers from Monitor Audio, and we must say that Edifier was chosen by heart and ears. I fell in love with the distinctness and drawing of the bass, which is perfectly broadcast even at 25 – 30% of the total volume. No less liked the drawing of the high frequencies by the tape tweeter and the general warmth of the sound. Bronze 2 seemed colder in comparison and tired faster, on the S3000 Pro I wanted to turn on the next album, and then another. And one more. I was also pleased with their versatility, and delicate jazz, and EDM bangers, and special effects in the latest Avengers were given to them with equal ease. All of the above applies equally to the standard connection via USB wire and "over the air". To thank for this is Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, XMOS xCore processor and KleerNet wireless protocol, which allows you to transmit CD-quality audio up to 22 metres and avoids interference from other wireless devices by using an atypical range (5.8G and 5.2G)

Everything else in the Edifier S3000 Pro is organized according to the "do no harm" principle. They did not try to make them smaller or lighter in order to avoid unnecessary distortion due to lack of free space in the case. The imbalance in gain (120 watts for the woofer + 8 watts for the tweeter) actually turns out to be a very smart decision: the ribbon tweeter does not need much volume, and the woofer still has a serious backlog to reduce distortion. Their design is also not great, compare them with similar functional KEF LSX. We have seen remote controls and are more comfortable. Out of habit, you always hit the wrong buttons. But all this does not matter if you are looking for sound at 5 plus. Edifier S3000 Pro in this regard can surprise you.
