Additional features wi-fi adapter D-Link DWL-8200AP:
The DWL-8200AP is a dual-band 802.11a/g business access point that provides advanced security and management features for dual-band wireless networks. Supporting link speeds up to 108 Mbps and dual high-gain dual-band antennas, the access point provides optimal range across both the 2.4 GHz (802.11g) and 5 GHz (802.11a) frequency bands. The DWL-8200AP is housed in a rugged metal housing that complies with fire safety regulations and guarantees complete safety. The access point also supports the 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard, which allows you to install this device even in places where power outlets are not available.
Connection at speeds up to 108 Mbps
The DWL-3200AP establishes a reliable connection with 802.11g wireless devices at speeds up to 54 Mbps and supports D-Link 108G technology, providing connection at speeds up to 108 Mbps (Turbo mode). At the same time, the DWL-3200AP remains fully compatible with IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g devices.
Turbo mode
The maximum wireless data rate of 54 Mbps is defined by the IEEE 802.11g standard specifications. 108 Mbps in Turbo mode is achieved with other D-Link Wireless 108 G devices. Actual throughput will vary.
Enhanced Security
To ensure complete network security, the DWL-8200AP supports both Personal and Enterprise versions of WPA and WPA2 (also known as 802.11i) with a RADIUS server. Other security features include MAC address filtering, wireless network segmentation, SSID broadcast suppression, and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption support.
Multiple SSID function
To improve network security, when connecting the DWL-8200AP to a switch supporting 802.1Q VLAN, the access point can provide appropriate additional network access functions. Based on the VLAN infrastructure, the DWL-8200AP supports the Multiple SSID function, which allows you to divide wireless networks into separate segments. The DWL-8200AP also implements a wireless client isolation mechanism that limits client-client interactions.
Multiple operating modes
Access point DWL-8200AP can be configured to work in one of three modes: "access point" (AP mode), "point-to-point bridge" (WDS with AP mode) and "point-to-multipoint bridge" (WDS mode). With WDS support, network administrators can install multiple DWL-8200APs in the same building or area, configure them to bridge with each other on one frequency band, and provide network access to them on another.
