be quiet! Pure Base 600 black (BG021)
![]() |
A fairly advanced case of the middle price range, designed to assemble a quiet and performant computer system. The model was created in the Midi Tower form factor. The main feature of the system unit is the presence of sound insulation on the sidewalls, as well as the top and front panels. The body received a chassis with a modular device. Racks for hard drives and optical drives can be detached.
If the HDD rack is partially or completely dismantled, it will be possible to install a graphics card up to 425 mm long on the chassis. If the rack is not removed, then the maximum length of expansion cards will be 280 mm. The Be quiet Pure Base 600 comes with a pair of fans. These are branded 140 mm paddle impellers from the Pure Wings 2 series with a unique bearing in the form of a threaded Rifle bushing.
Up to 5 fans can be used in the system unit. The speed of rotation of the impellers can be controlled from the interface panel, where a 3-position switch is located. Additionally, the interface panel has a pair of USB 3.2 gen1 connectors and mini-Jack sockets. On the front side there are 2 plugs for installing 5.25 ”optical drives. The back panel has 7 plugs for PCIe redundancy. This case model has a Pure Base 600 Window BGW21 modification with a viewing window on the right sidewall.

modularity; soundproofing; metal; enough free space; poor air permeability (not suitable for "hot" systems); thin coat of paint; somewhat dull appearance |

I liked its modularity. The rear slides are reusable, they can be freely removed and reinserted. If you don't need all three HDD trays, you can take them out and free up space. The same applies to the drive bay, it is also removable.
The metal is normal, but bends in places where there are many holes (for example, the top cover and the rear mesh for ventilation), but if you don't press there on purpose, you won't notice it. The top cover is very difficult to remove, you fear breaking something. The fasteners on the front panel are also quite tight, scary to break.
There is enough space inside to arrange the cables. No sharp edges were found.
The layer of paint is very thin, it's easy to scratch. Fingerprints and dust are clearly visible on the case. The appearance of the case is somewhat dull.
Soundproofing is present, but it's nothing outstanding. If you have a noisy HDD, you will hear it, if your fans are running at 100%, you will hear that too.
Perhaps the main drawback of the case is that it doesn't have very good airflow (a compromise for soundproofing). Even the grills at the front, which you can see in store photos, are half-covered with plastic inserts. So if you're building a high-heat system, choose a different case.
