The Pure Base are all-around great Midi Tower cases with decent noise isolation, thoughtful interior layout, stylish looks, handy dust filters and optional viewing windows. The highest level of assembly, the quality of materials, screwless fastenings (note: not everywhere) make the process of assembling the system a pleasure. And the presence of removable trays and a block structure make it possible to install a dropsy inside, a couple of video cards and several SSD drives, while not sacrificing either performance or the degree of cooling of components. That is, a typical Pure Base can successfully play several roles, the main ones being a powerful gaming PC with hot hardware and a stylish, silent workstation.

Several generations of cases have already been released in the Pure Base family, the most recent of which are the Pure Base 500/600 models, as well as their variations with additional lighting, viewing windows and various colour variations. Usually each case comes in three colour options (black, white and grey), but sometimes the German manufacturer produces non-format cases, which often become hits. For example, the black and orange Pure Base 600 Window case with a viewing window, designed for a gaming build with an abundance of RGB lighting. Or Pure Base 500DX, which illuminates the entire front panel.

It is Pure Base 500DX that has been among the top sellers of this series for several years in a row. This is an affordable modification of the regular Pure Base 500, which has a viewing window added to the side, and the glossy front panel has been replaced with a stylish textured grille with unobtrusive address lighting. Other important variables in the success formula are three Pure Wings silent fans and improved sound-absorbing pads that provide an excellent balance between noise and cooling. That is, this is an option from the “bought, assembled and admired” section, but you don’t hear it. With the official price just below $150, this option is hard to refuse.
