supercar

Against the background of other home routers, the GT-AX11000 looks like a custom supercar in a garage with expensive Ferraris. This is one of the most expensive and sophisticated models for non-commercial use, and just listing all its advantages will take more than one sheet of virtual paper. But we will try to look at all this soberly.

High Speed Tri-Band Router

So, the GT-AX11000 belongs to the Republic of Gamers (ROG) series and is a tri-band router with eight powerful antennas. The first band operates at a frequency of 2.4 GHz with a maximum speed of 1148 Mbps, and the remaining two operate at a frequency of 5 GHz with a maximum throughput of 4804 Mbps per channel. The additional 5 GHz band can be reserved exclusively for gaming. There is nothing unusual here.

Did you order Wi-Fi 6?

But support for the new Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard is what elevates the GT-AX11000 above most other routers. Thanks to him, the total bandwidth of the router is 10,756 Mbps, which makes it a promising candidate for distributing traffic in a smart home. And while Wi-Fi 6-enabled gadgets are few and far between, the GT-AX11000 lets you be fully equipped when the future comes.

Games Prioritized

Traditionally for gaming routers, the GT-AX11000 supports the ASUS Game Boost function. It analyzes network activity and prioritizes game traffic, primarily preventing lag in games when downloading large files or streaming at the same time. What is especially convenient, there is a separate button on the router to enable this mode. Of the other features, there is a Game Radar function that allows you to evaluate game server pings, a utility for creating a seamless Mesh network, a built-in VPN, a network traffic acceleration packer (OFDMA, Beamforming, etc.) and an advanced AiProtection Pro protection set.

Good in everything

With all this, the router boasts a performant hardware platform, stable software, high build quality and a catchy design in the style of all ROG gadgets. Although, the latter is more of an amateur. Plus, there is a set of USB ports that greatly expand the functionality of the router. Perhaps its only weak point is the cost, but this is the traditional price for increased performance, support for the new standard and rich functionality.
