The Ryzen 5 4500 processor is designed to work in tandem with motherboards based on AM4 system logic and DDR4 RAM. It supports dual-channel operation with a maximum RAM clock speed of 3200 MHz. To connect to a monitor, the system needs a full-fledged video card, since the processor does not have an integrated video core.

Priced at just under $100, it's built in the 6-core + 6-thread configuration that AMD typically uses in higher-end Ryzen 5/7 processors. The secret lies in the fact that due to the lack of suitable crystals, AMD engineers took Ryzen 4000U APU mobile processors as a basis. As a result, both are based on the same Zen 2 generation crystal and have similar characteristics.
