To sum it up, the AMD Ryzen 3 3300X is one of the nicest hardware surprises of 2020, with its modern high performance Zen 2 architecture per clock ahead of the more multi-core old Ryzen 5 2600 in games, though the latter is still very good in professional work applications. The only worthy competitor for the 3300X is perhaps its big brother Ryzen 5 3500 with six Zen 2 cores but no SMT multithreading.
