Low-cost monitors from Adam

ADAM Audio positions the T-series as a device for writing and mixing music, post-production and broadcasting. These are new and relatively inexpensive active two-way monitors with a phase inverter on the rear wall. Despite the price, they use technologies from older models, which is why ADAM Audio claims "accuracy, clarity and detail of older models" for a reason.

Branded U-ART tweeter

Unlike the older series, which used "honeycomb" cones made of carbon and fiberglass, the T7V has a simpler option — a 7-inch polypropylene cone. And the phase inverter port moved to the back wall. But from above, we see almost the same — U-ART high-speed ribbon tweeters on the HPS Waveguide. The shape of the air duct is also taken from the S-series, which allows you to more clearly focus the sound vertically, filling the horizontal as well, making it possible to enjoy the full spectrum of sound and be less dependent on the sound listening point.

Music monitors

The model has a more confident coverage in the low-frequency region and excellent elaboration in the lower mid-range. The upper frequencies are detailed and pronounced, as is usually the case with Adam. However the sound of tweeters here is somewhat specific and not everyone likes it because of its colour. In general, this is the main complaint about monitors — they sound more beautiful and brighter than they actually are throughout the range. Therefore, they are used not so much for information, but to deliver a demo to the client. Well, the low frequencies are a little lacking in the detail of older models. But all this criticism is relevant only in comparison with the famous A7X, which is only slightly ahead of the new T7V in sound quality, but at the same time costs twice as much.

Suitable for any room

Well, note that the diffuser here is 7, not 8". On the one hand, they are easier to place in a small room, on the other hand, the volume / power margin here is not as large as that of competing models — 70 W versus 120 – 140 W for most models with an 8-inch cone. Although, we personally think the 7-inch option is perfect for a medium-sized room / studio, since usually in fact 6-inch models lack bass a bit, and 8-inch monitors often have a lot of it.

Additional features speakers Adam T7V:
  • Separate amplifiers for high-frequency (20 W) bass/mid-range (50 W) loudspeakers
  • Level, bass and treble controls
