Electric turks

Electric Turk

— a kind of hybrid of Turks (cezva) and an electric kettle. It features a relatively small container (around 300-400 mL) that tapers upward and has its own heating element. This coffee maker is specifically designed to prepare Turkish or Oriental coffee, where finely ground coffee is heated close to boiling point. Turkish coffee is known for its concentrated flavor and thick texture. One challenge in brewing Turkish coffee is stopping the heating process just before it reaches a boil. Traditional cezves make it easy to miss this crucial moment, but electric turks often come equipped with automatic features that turn off the heating at the optimal time.
