— non-tube models: This product is installed directly on the rim and air is pumped into the space between the tyre and the rim (like in car tyres). This provides several advantages over conventional bicycle tyres. So, the lack of a tube reduces weight, and most punctures can be “healed” without removing the tyre. However, installing a tubeless model is quite a hassle: such products are only compatible with specially shaped rims, and after installation, the joint must be treated with an adhesive sealant to prevent air leaks. Therefore, it is worth paying attention to such models, first of all, in cases where the bike allows the use of tubeless tyres (most often these are “road tyres”) and its weight should be made as small as possible.
