Such furniture has found wide application in the offices of managers who often have to hold meetings. The briefing table is a tabletop placed perpendicular to the main desktop and attached to it with one edge; the other edge is supported by its own support. Visitors (for example, subordinates) are located behind such a tabletop, while the owner of the office sits at the main table — such an arrangement is quite convenient for group discussions.

Note that briefing tables do not imply independent use, they must be attached to the desktop. So when choosing, you need to take into account compatibility, both in terms of technical parameters and in appearance.
