Bronze braided strings

Bronze

— a variety of bronze with a characteristic yellowish tinge (often — rather even brass than bronze). It can be used both with strings of the same material, and with steel and even nylon. The sound of yellow bronze is quite sonorous, with a tendency to melodic "clatter" and a specific colour. However, note that this material is sensitive to moisture, and an instrument with such strings should always be kept in a case — otherwise oxidation will spoil not only the appearance, but also the acoustics of the strings.
