— the main advantage of battery power over mains power is maximum freedom of movement — the tool does not depend on sockets and cord lengths. And in itself, the absence of a wire in some situations can be a very significant advantage. At the same time, all this is relevant only until the battery is exhausted, and after discharging, you will need not only a power source, but also time to charge (although this drawback is partly compensated in models with 2 batteries, see the relevant paragraph). In addition, the cordless tool is generally less powerful than the mains one, but, with similar characteristics, it costs noticeably higher, and it weighs more.
