Dustproof torches
Dustproof, water resistant
— the torch has additional protection from dust and water getting inside. The degree of such protection varies for different models; for clarification, you should refer to the official documentation. The degree of protection can also be assessed by the IP index, widely used in modern technology: the higher two digits in the index – the higher the degree of protection (the first digit corresponds to the degree of protection from dust, the second - from water). The maximum level today corresponding to complete sealing is IP68.Such a torch may be useful for ordinary household use, but initially dustproof and water resistant models are designed for harsh conditions and are intended for climbers, sailors, military personnel, speleologists, etc. However diving models (see “Type”), in general are only water resistant.
