The display can show various data about the system operation: the current mode of operation, the status of security zones and sensors, the arming and disarming log, battery charge, etc. At the same time, it should be noted that the absence of a display does not mean that it is impossible to receive such information — some models are able to display data on an external display, for example, on a smartphone or tablet via the Internet.
