Car chargers for phones
Car charger
— chargers intended for use in a vehicle; plugged into a cigarette lighter socket or car socket of the same shape. We emphasize that wireless car devices are allocated in a separate category (see the relevant paragraph); in this case we are talking about traditional wired chargers. Most often, such chargers are actually USB adapters for the on-board power supply — they have one or more USB ports, to which charged devices are connected, using a cable or directly (models with a built-in cable are much less common). At the same time, charging cables often have to be purchased separately — or you can use the bundled ones that were originally supplied with the rechargeable gadget. A similar method can be indispensable on the road, when there are no other power sources, except for the car's on-board power.
Note that car chargers are most often designed for 12 V networks used in cars and other similar vehicles; however, there are models that are also compatible with 24-volt networks of heavy vehicles (trucks, buses, etc.).
