— tools designed mainly for soldering plastic (polypropylene) pipes. The main difference between such models and classic soldering irons is the design of the working part: it is a massive heater in the form of a plate or tube, on which nozzles are put on. The nozzles themselves are round, for standard diameters of plastic pipes; they may be included in the kit, but kits for all standard sizes are rare. Soldering irons for pipes have high power — from 700 – 800 watts.
