— contact soldering irons are called classic soldering irons with constant heating (more precisely, with constant maintenance of the operating temperature), in which the nozzle touches the materials being processed during operation. It is this category that includes classic, well-known to many household and amateur radio soldering irons for 25 – 40 watts. However, the matter is not limited to this: contact models range from a miniature tool of 3–5 W, suitable for working with printed circuit boards of microelectronics, to “hammers” of several hundred watts, with which even simple welding can be replaced by soldering.
