Additional coil

— the presence of a replaceable coil (or several coils) in the scope of delivery of the metal detector. Replacement coils can have different detection rates; they can also differ in size (the larger the size, the larger the area captured in one pass and the lower the positioning accuracy of individual finds) and shape (for more details, see the corresponding section). Anyway, such equipment makes it easier to adjust the metal detector to the specifics of the situation.
