Brass

There are many varieties of brass; those used in plumbing resist corrosion well and are considered optimal for some specific situations — for example, when the oxygen content of the water is high. At the same time, in most cases, this material does not have noticeable advantages over plastic (at low loads) or steel/cast iron (at high loads) and therefore has not been widely used.
