Automatic operating mode

— as the name implies, this function somehow automates the operation of the pump; but the features of such automation depend on the purpose (see the relevant paragraph). So, in cold water pressure boost pumps, the automation starts the pump when the tap is opened and stops when it is closed, eliminating the need to turn the unit on and off manually. In central heating and recirculation devices, the adjustment possibilities are more extensive and may include additional functions such as a timer.
