The rest of the living creatures should be hidden from prying eyes. In total, there are 48 tasks in the game, each of them has only one correct solution. Coral reef develops perseverance and concentration.

There is also an edition of the game Coral Reef for a children's company, in which you must be the first to collect 5 figurines of marine animals or get 2 tokens with treasures lost among the coral reefs. During the gameplay, you need to turn over the top cards of the two decks so that everyone can see what is drawn on them. Participants must find both of these images on the playing field. The one who first finds the desired images puts his index fingers on them and receives a figurine of a sea creature. Some cards have a treasure chest in the lower right corner. If it is on both cards opened in the round, then the squad goes in search of treasure. The winner of the round receives, in addition to the animal figurine, a "treasure chest", which is much more valuable.
