— there are two main varieties of checkers — “regular”, which is played on a board of 64 cells (12 checkers on each side), and hundred-cell, for a 10x10 board (20 checkers are required here). The first option is more common, but extended sets are also available. At the same time, in both cases, the board may or may not be included in the kit. Also note that checkers are also used as backgammon chips (15 pcs per player), and a 64-cell board is standard for chess. Therefore, checkers are often included in one set with chess and/or backgammon.
