Wallnuts can be placed in two different orientations, allowing a single nut to cover a range of cracks. They are tapered across both their face and sides, helping them sit better in cracks that are rarely parallel sided. It has a higher strength-to-weight ratio, is less susceptible to UV degradation and has greater abrasion resistance, making Dynatec an ideal material for creating lightweight quickdraws. It also absorbs less water than nylon – an important consideration for winter climbing.
