Petzl's ultralight, compact, and highly protective Volta Guide 9. 0mm Rope is ideal when your climb is high up on the mountain, or the mountain itself. Its thin diameter works as a twin rope for long multi-pitches, a half rope for minimalist mountaineering routes, or a single rope for strenuous single pitches in the alpine. The rope's Guide Dry treatment meets the UIAA's standards for water-resistance by absorbing less water than 2%. Petzl also treated this rope with EverFlex to stabilize the rope's core strands for improved consistency, consistent handling, and an excellent grip. The Middle Mark helps you identify the rope's center for quicker and easier rappels.

The Kinglet Rope is Edelrid's sportier climbing rope designed with bolted crags and climbing gyms in mind. Its 9. 2mm diameter balances between high-performance lightness with solid handling ideal for experienced belayers. Edelrid treated the sheathe with Thermo Shield to increase abrasion-resistance as well as overall handling. The 3D lap coiling means you can uncoil the rope without worrying over tangles.

Mammut's Alpine Sender Dry Rope is a triple-certified climbing rope that you can use as a half rope in the alpine, a twin rope on a multi-pitch, or a single rope on challenging single-pitches. Best-used by experienced belayers, its skinny 8. 7mm diameter packs small and reduces rope drag on wandering routes. Mammut's Dry treatment excels UIAA's standards for limiting water absorption, and it significantly enhances abrasion-resistance for a greater performance on rock as well as ice. The Petzl Quark Ice Tool has been redesigned, making it even more ready to take on steep ice and any alpine terrain you can throw its way. Petzl added a collapsible finger rest that folds up into the shaft for a lower profile, and locks via a button that can be easily operated, even with gloves on. The handle received a makeover, too, with the front and sides of the old model being flattened into a more rectangular shape that increases grip efficiency.
