— this category includes boots, the design of which is dominated by soft materials — most often nylon, less often faux leather or microfibre; hard materials are also available, but they play an auxiliary role, reinforcing the structure in the most critical areas. Soft boots are considered the most comfortable, they fit the foot tightly and at the same time provide good ventilation. And of their shortcomings, one can only note a slightly lower resistance to certain specific loads than that of hard ones — and in most cases, this moment does not play a decisive role. Thanks to all this, this type of boot is popular in roller skates for all purposes (see "Riding style").
