Roller skates with brakes
Brake
— the brake in roller skates usually looks like a distinctive protrusion on the frame. In classic inline models, such a protrusion is located behind the wheels. Thus, to brake, you need to raise the toe slightly — this is easier and safer than using special braking techniques, which is why the brake is included in all entry-level fitness models (see "Riding style"). However, some specialized models — stunt and running — are also equipped with brakes. When the wheels are arranged in pairs (see the relevant paragraph), this device is installed in the front and plays the role not so much of a brake as an additional element that allows you to safely lean on the toe.Show
