Magnetic

— a non-contact system in which loads are created using permanent magnets: increasing and decreasing the distance between them and the flywheel, respectively, reduces or increases the load level. The advantages of magnetic systems are smooth adjustment and minimum noise. On the other hand, magnets are not capable of providing a high level of load, and therefore are used mainly in amateur orbitrek models.
