Lifting units are often located in hard-to-reach places — for example, under the very ceiling of a workshop — and it can be difficult to control them without a remote control. The remote control itself is most often made wired — it is reliable and inexpensive, and the inconvenience from the wire in this case is not particularly important. However, in some models, the wired remote control can be supplemented with a wireless one — this provides additional convenience in control.
