— brushes and nozzles for use on carpets, runners, carpeted floors and similar surfaces. Note that we are talking about nozzles of traditional design; turbo brushes with a similar purpose are moved to a separate selection point.

There are two main types of carpet nozzles. The first type is brushes with stiff thick bristles that can effectively “comb out” dirt from the space between the carpet fibers. These nozzles are also suitable for smooth floors that do not require special delicacy, such as linoleum or stone. The second type is structures that do not have bristles at all; the necessary efficiency in them is achieved due to the fact that the nozzle is pressed as tightly as possible to the carpet, which enhances the traction force of the vacuum cleaner, and this method of operation is not suitable for smooth floors.

Note that nozzles of this type can also be used for cleaning upholstered furniture. However, it is still better to choose accessories originally intended for this for such work (see “furniture attachments”). The “carpet” brush can be used in extreme cases and with caution, since the dirt left after cleaning the floor can stain the upholstery (especially light). In addition, such nozzles usually have a fairly large width and are designed mainly for large spaces.
