Outwardly, such a nozzle resembles a rather long pipe, flattened at the end; and the length of the slot does not exceed the diameter of the pipe — these accessories differ from carpet and other similar brushes, which also have a working part in the form of a slot.

The main area of application for crevice nozzles is cleaning hard-to-reach places — for example, the space between radiator sections, the top surface of cornices, gaps between cushions on upholstered furniture, etc. The large length, combined with the minimum width, allows such devices to effectively reach where they cannot penetrate larger nozzles.
