Devices with a full-fledged OS on board are most often media players (see "Purpose"); and even by the standards of this class, they are distinguished by extensive functionality, which can be further expanded by installing additional applications. Specifically, Android is one of the most popular modern operating systems, used by almost all manufacturers except Apple (see "iOS"). It was created by Google and in its purest form has a tight integration with the services of this company. Android source code is open, requirements for developers are minimal; as a result, the proprietary Google Play application repository offers a very extensive set of software, but this software is not always of high quality. Also note that Android devices are very diverse, they differ in the version of the installed OS, and may also have various additional software modifications and shells. In particular, this OS is increasingly found in Hi-Fi players, while in such devices it may have reduced functionality and prevent the installation of third-party applications.
