Heat exchanger

— the type of heater used as the main one only in models with gas and indirect heating; in combined ones (see "Energy source") it is combined with a heating element or a spiral. The heat exchanger itself does not generate heat — it only transfers heat to the water from the products of gas combustion or the heat medium supplied by an external heater. To increase efficiency, it is made of heat-conducting materials and equipped with protrusions that increase the area of contact with water.
