— support for Google Cast (Chromecast) in the projector allows you to stream video, music, photos, and browser tabs to a large screen via Wi-Fi directly from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, without the need for an HDMI cable and additional settings. Unlike regular "screen mirroring," where the image is simply mirrored and more dependent on the phone, Google Cast often works as "streaming": you play a video on YouTube or a movie in a compatible app, send it to the projector, and then use your phone for other tasks. Compared to Miracast, Google Cast is generally more convenient for popular services and the Chrome browser, but it usually requires the projector and gadget to be on the same network, and connection quality greatly affects smoothness. Typical use cases include playing cartoons for kids from YouTube on the wall, showing guests a Google Photos album, displaying a presentation from Chrome/Google Drive at a meeting, or quickly "casting" a video tutorial to a large office screen.
