Kensington lock

— a standard 3×7 mm slot for a cable lock that physically secures the device to a table, stand, or ceiling bracket, and reduces theft risk. The lock is inserted with a T-shaped pin, turned, and the body is "snapped on"; then the steel cable is wrapped around a fixed support. Unlike software passwords, this is purely mechanical protection, and compared to a "security bar" or bolt loop, it's faster to install and compatible with standard cable locks (keyed or combination). The reliability depends on the strength of the attachment point and the thief's ingenuity: it's a deterrent level, not a safe. In practice, the slot is convenient in auditoriums, conference rooms, and at mobile installations; the lock is almost always purchased separately. Before installation, it is worth checking that the bracket does not block access and the model does not have a non-standard size.
