External cameras for smartphones

— a rather peculiar kind of cameras, which are more like external accessories for a mobile phone (more precisely, a smartphone) than independent devices for filming (in fact, many of them cannot be used independently at all). Note that other types of electronic gadgets, in particular tablets, can also play the role of a control device; however, the main purpose is still smartphones. A key feature of such cameras is the absence of their own screen and controls, with the exception of literally 2-3 switches: a mobile phone display is used to crop and change settings. At the same time, work with the camera is carried out through a special application (which is why a smartphone is required). The connection is most often carried out wirelessly, via Wi-Fi or NFC, and the design usually provides for a mount for installation on the gadget's body (however, remote use is not excluded). The characteristics of most "mobile" cameras are similar to digital compacts.
