Electric drive (without pedaling)

This mode is useful for starting from a standstill, short stretches without pedaling, going uphill, or riding when the rider is tired, but it drains the battery faster and puts more strain on the motor. Electric propulsion is better suited for relaxed city rides, frequent stops, riding with cargo, and situations where assistance is needed without constantly pedaling.

It is worth noting that e-bikes with electric propulsion also have a pedal-assist mode for when active riding is needed and to reduce battery consumption.
