— classic fly-type float rods do not have reels, the line is attached in a “deaf” way, on the tip of the rod. This provides good sensitivity, but the casting distance is very small and depends very much on the length of the rod itself. It is believed that this type is designed mainly for beginners and undemanding anglers who go fishing in simple conditions and do not use ingenious fishing techniques.
