Brush tip

— an elastic tip made of nylon or springy felt that works like a mini brush: by changing the angle and pressure, it’s easy to get anything from a super‑fine hairline to a broad calligraphic stroke. It shines in lettering, sketching, comics, illustrations, and artistic signatures, where lively stroke dynamics and smooth transitions matter. With water‑based ink it allows watercolor‑style washes and blends; with alcohol ink it creates soft gradients and fills, but on thin paper you may get bleed‑through and feathering, so it’s better to choose heavyweight sketchbooks or marker paper. In terms of control, a brush tip is harder than a bullet tip or a chisel tip and requires practice and care, but it delivers expressiveness a bullet tip can’t match for evenness and a chisel tip can’t match for flexibility. Store this marker tightly capped and don’t let it dry out so the fibers don’t fray.
