Smart extension cords

 

— "Smart" power devices in the form of extension cords — that is, a set of sockets in one housing, connected to the network using a wire with a plug.

The main advantages and disadvantages of such devices are the same as for conventional household extension cords. On the one hand, they allow you to "reach out" the power to equipment with a too short own wire; if necessary, the extension cord can be easily rearranged to another location; and there are usually several own power sockets in such models, which makes it possible to connect several consumers to one outlet at once. On the other hand, the wire from the extension cord can be inconvenient, and when connecting several devices at the same time, you need to make sure that their total power does not exceed the allowable values for the outlet and extension cord.
